What Haavisa is, what we are not, and exactly how we operate — so you can make an informed decision.

What Haavisa is

A private visa-assistance platform. We are an independent, privately operated online service helping travellers prepare and submit visa and eTA applications.
An application support service. We review your documents, check for errors, and help you submit a complete application to the relevant authority (or provide you with the materials to submit yourself).
A document verification partner.We verify that your passport, photos, and supporting documents meet the destination country's requirements before submission.

What Haavisa is NOT

We are not a government agency. Haavisa is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government, embassy, consulate, or immigration authority.
We are not an embassy or consulate.We cannot issue visas, eTAs, or travel authorisations ourselves. Only the destination country's immigration authority can approve or deny your application.
We are not immigration lawyers. We do not provide legal advice. For complex immigration situations, consult a qualified immigration attorney.
We are not a visa-guarantee service. We prepare and review your application to give it the best chance of success, but the decision is made solely by the relevant government authority.

How we charge

A Haavisa application has three cost components, and we show all of them upfront:

Service fee — our flat $29 for Kenya, $29 for Somalia, $29 for Ethiopia and $29 for Djibouti per destination. This is what Haavisa earns for reviewing and supporting your application.
Processing tier upgrade — optional faster processing ($0–$60 depending on the tier you select).
Government fee — set by the destination country. Haavisa does not mark up government fees. Current government fees: Kenya $30, Somalia $70, Ethiopia $62 and Djibouti $40.

How government approval works

After Haavisa reviews and submits your application (or provides you with the completed application package), the destination country's immigration authority makes the approval decision independently. Haavisa has no influence over this decision. We do not pay for or solicit preferential treatment from government authorities.

How refunds work

Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy. In summary: our service fee is refundable if your application has not yet been submitted to the government authority. Government fees are set by and paid to the destination country and are non-refundable once transmitted.
